ARTIST STATEMENT AND PICTURES.

Time by time it gets more challenging to express feelings in the real world and deal it also gets harder to deal with problems in it. As a way to escape this world, anime has taken a very important spot in my life and the way emotions have been portrayed through the years in Anime and Manga made me realize how amazing the work of the artists really is, and how much effort is put into portraying emotions. I thought I was never going to cry after watching an Anime or reading a Manga panel, and as I started getting into the Japanese animation world, I understood that I was more attracted to Animation than real-life actors in movies. As the years passed by, the animation industry has developed so much compared to a few years ago, bringing the portraying of emotions to another level of enjoyment for me. Being able to transmit emotion through a panel or a piece of art has been my main goal since I started doing art, and Anime has been my major inspiration to try to achieve that level of creation. In my Zine, I tried to put together 8 different emotions and use Anime and Manga Panels cutouts to light up those emotions in whoever is looking at every single page.No words are needed to understand what the different characters are going through and what they are feeling.
