For my first project, I decided to try more 2d drawing and use the old method of frame-by-frame animation. Using Procreate I created a loop animation of a star turning into a devil hound moving some parts of their body and then turning it back into a star and connecting the very last frame and the first one, it's possible to create an endless video illusion although it has limited frames. I realized how important it is to know the 2d animation base for creating this project.
Knowing 2D animation is super important for telling stories visually.
Learning 2D animation teaches you the basics of how animation works. You get the hang of things like timing and movement, which you can use in any kind of animation.
It is handy for making all sorts of stuff like cartoons, ads, videos, and even games. If you're good at it, you can find jobs in lots of different fields.
With 2D animation, you can let your imagination run wild. You can create cool characters, tell stories, and show emotions in fun and creative ways.
Compared to fancier types of animation, 2D animation is often cheaper to make. You don't need as much fancy equipment, so it's great for beginners or people working on a budget.
Even though there are all kinds of cool new animation techniques, 2D animation still has a special charm. It's familiar and timeless, which keeps people coming back for more.
Knowing 2D animation makes it easier to work with other creative folks. You can explain your ideas better and work together smoothly to bring projects to life.
So, if you want to dive into the world of animation and tell awesome stories, knowing 2D animation is the way to go.
